Well! With a busy lifestyle, it’s not always easy to prep food and be 100% organised all the time... We may have the best of intentions of Sunday, shopping, cooking and preparing... Then by the time Thursday comes around, the schedule has gotten out of hand and we find ourselves reaching for the takeaway options or heading to the restaurant for a quick meal 😅
That’s alright. These days there are usually quite a few healthy, lean and clean options out there for those of us that are looking for optimal health, performance and potentially weight loss.

If we just stop for a moment... We realize that there are so many blessings around us and so many reasons to smile!
People often ask me what I eat before training. Well it depends on the time of day and what type of training I will be doing!
▪️Training first thing: I’ll have my breakfast after my session! A fasted workout is recommended for fat burning, but may not be ideal if you’re looking for performance.
▪️Mid morning session: I’ll make sure that I have breakfast an hour or two beforehand.
▪️Afternoon/evening: I will have a light snack 45 min or so beforehand, again including carbs!

This goes for both cardio and weights sessions... As for yoga: always practice on an empty stomach! Make sure you go to the toilet before your class and blow your nose too. If possible, try not to drink water during your class. Drinking during yoga may serve as a distraction and you want to give your stomach a break whilst practicing.
